Harvest International School is seeking to recruit passionate qualified staff with high integrity, dedication and commitment to fill the following teaching positions.
1. Literature and English Teachers - Strong in Language Development
2. Mathematics and Science Teachers
3. Geography and Economics Teachers
These persons are responsible for ensuring the achievement of a World Class Christian Education ensuring that the curriculum and teaching standards are meant.
Key Responsibilities for Teachers
- Understand curriculum requirements, and create syllabi, lesson plans, and educational content that satisfy these requirements.
- Provide extra support to students that require it, and more challenging tasks to those who are ahead of the class.
- Prepare and deliver lessons that are stimulating and clear.
- Educating students on lab safety and ensuring all experiments are carried out responsibly for science lessons.
- Ensure instruction and learning is achieved and attained by all learners
- Write and compile individual assessments of each child's development
- Complete daily inventories, child attendance, and related reports.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, workshops, conferences, and other education initiatives.
- Conduct research in current global educational trends and practices
- Handling various administration functions, which include updating student records and keeping track of lab supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Ensuring a safe, healthy classroom environment where learning can take place
- Ensure parent relations are maintained at a high standard offering an overwhelming customer satisfaction experience for each parent.
Qualifications and Competencies
- BSc/BA with Education with Three (3) years’ experience in a school setting or a Bachelor’s degree in any related field with two (2) years’ working experience with children in a formal setting.
- Solid and active relationship with God supported by a statement of faith
- Must be a member of Worship Harvest ministries.
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and school educational methods
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as mediator between children
- Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
